Under the direction of composer, arranger and director GENE GLICKMAN
Glickman's works tell unique stories—some are tragic tales of loss, others are spirited cries for justice, others still are joyful celebrations of diversity.
El Coro's repertory will include songs in a wide variety of languages from all over the world. Highly recommended for El Taller's "ESPAÑOL de las AMERICAS" students.
If you or someone you know might be interested in auditioning, please send us an email at "info at tallerlatino.org".
Auditions will be held during the month of August. Please stayed tuned for updates.

Each course will be a one and a half hour seminar where students and teachers converse about culture, language, geography, customs and arts of the specific region. Students are sure to utilize this information whether it be for a trip to the specific country or for experiencing Latin American culture without ever leaving New York.
The teacher of each course will provide first-hand knowledge of the region as well as stories, travel tips and language colloquialisms. The last half hour will be designated to a cultural activity, whether it's a wine tasting, a dance class or an empanada meal.
Students are welcome to come to one class or to register for all six.

I took a beginning Spanish class at El Taller about a year ago. I learned more from that class than I ever have from any other Spanish class I've taken. I plan on taking the intermediate class soon and also plan to start attending the meet-ups to practice my Spanish. They are a great addition to the cultural and language centers in NYC.
