For the past four decades, Oscar Ballester (Argentina) played guitar at El Taller on multiple occasions. But, he has also organized events for El Taller musicians around the country. Hugo Gonzalez Koppmann (Chile), has performed as a singer extensively in the Northeast. 

With friends, Oscar and Hugo created “Con raices LatinoAmericanas” in 2016 in Providence, RI - a series of musical events with local, national and international artists. This concert will feature music prepared for those events and include works by A Yupanqui, V Parra, P Manns, JM Serrat, J Davalos, V Jara, A Zitarrosa, and more.

Guest Artists: Transcontinental Duo

Hiroko Kajimoto (Japan) and Igor Golger (Russia) are Boston-based performing artists. Their extensive repertoire includes music from Brazil and Latin America. They have collaborated with “Con raices LatinoAmericanas” on multiple occasions.
